I have the family tree complied by Robert Shanks, Hamilton 1930 and Winnipeg 1936. I am interested in hearing from any Ptolemy families around the world.

I am also researching the Stainton family tree. Decendants of William Stainton, born June 21, 1825 from Lincolnshire, England, married Matilda Stone and came to Layton, Ontario, Canada.

I am the granddaughter of Alfred Carl Prentice and Irene Gerrow; and Roger Hamilton Ptolemy, born January 20, 1864 and Prudence Alice Loundsberry, born in 1864.
