The Pullan Family - From Yorkshire to Australia

Updated March 3, 2001

About Our Family Research

We are researching the Pullan Families of Hunslet, Farnley and Leeds in Yorkshire England From 1750's to the present day. My Great Great Great Grandfather Thomas Pullan son of Richard Pullan was the Vicar of Farnley in Leeds from 1816 up until his death in 1827. He was born about 1783 in Hunslet in Leeds and studied at Cambridge University before taking up his Vicarage.
He Married Sarah Ward in Barwick in Elmet just outside Leeds and had some children of which we are unsure on. The only one we are certain of is my GGGrandfather Thomas Ward Pullan of whom travelled to Victoria, Australia and his family then settled in New South Wales, Australia.
Other Names we are researching include Smith, Fotheringham, Plummer, Watson, Ward, Muir, Hill, Asplet, Mckinnon, Perrett, Searle, Woodley, Moon, Carroll, Flynn in England, Channel Islands, Scotland and Ireland and Australia from about 1700's to present at least.
