I've just begun researching, unfortunately many of my immediate elder family members passed away before I was born, or while I was very young. Those left don't feel comfortable telling stories about lost loved ones. I've asked my grandmother to lend me my grandfathers journal from WWII, but she insists it does not exist. My mother has told me she used to be read excerpts from it by her father. My family has alot of rich history I am sure, but I have no way of contacting anyone that has done legitimate research on the family. What I know... Pullman - Derived from "Man by the pool" or a man that lived by a body of water and looked after horses for people. One of my great aunts told my mother or father... That the Man by the Pool (pullman) surname was given to the family as a punishment by Henry VIII or some such king. Though this may be the embellishments of elderly relatives. Anyways, If you have any Pullman Family that moved to Canada around 1957, please email me at Canuck1984@canada.com or phone me at (613)-544-0008, I am in Canada so if you are in another country you'll need the country code, the operator can give it, I forget it at the moment. Thanx. James.
