Kenneth Monroe Pybas 1824-1913 was born in Lincoln County, TN. He married Eleanor Cain Holt 9 Nov 1847 in Bedford County, TN.(1828-1912) He served in General Nathan Bedford Forrest's Escort Co. C.S.A. He brought his family of six sons and two daughters to Texas in 1878, first settling near Grapevine in Tarrant County. In 1891, they removed to Cooke County, Texas. There were four married sons and families. The oldest and youngest sons were unmarried as were the two daughters.

J. E. Pybas, born 12-16-1916 still lives in Cooke County, TX where many of these ancestors are buried.
