Claude Thomas (Bigaouette) (son of Jean Thomas-Tranchemontagne and Anne Lera) was born 1680 in Dover New Hapshire, and died November 22, 1761. He married Marie Anne Villeneuve on November 15, 1706 in Charlesbourg PQ, daughter of Mathurin Villeneuve and Marguerite LeMarche.

Claude Thomas Bigaouette, is the ancestor of the family Bigaouette Clau de Thomas was born in 1680 has Dover in England News. His/her John fath er was one walking of cloth originating in the county of Hampshire in t he south

He lived a yea rs dozen with this woman in the village of Abénakis in the area of Loret te Puis Claude decided to name Claude Thomas Bigaouette. Surely by gratitu de towards this woman who it taken under her protection.

In 1698, Claude Thomas can finally receive his release. With the conditi on of converting with the Catholic religion, it is Protestant. May 27, 166 9, a letter is to send to Sieur de Callière and Sieur de Champigny which i ntendant has Montreal. It is about a letter concerning the English prisone rs liberer and
the name of Claude Thomas is mentioned there. Curiously Claude will obta in his naturalization that in 1753 only. Until his Claude marriage as serv ant at Paul St-Simon a significant character of this time works has Quebe c. Finallement Claude settles has Charlesbourg or it married
November 15, 1706 has CharlesBourg , Marie Anne Villeneuve girl of Mathur in Villeneuve and
Marguerite Lemarché. Of this union fourteen children were baptized has Cha rlesbourg.
Marie Anne Villeneuve died on January 23, 1759 has Charlesbourg. Claude Th omas died in November 1761.
It is 84 years old according to the register of Charlesbourg. They were a ll two buried has Charlesbourg.
