I have been working on the family trees for both my husbands side of the family and mine. His includes the last names of: Pyritz,Stevenson,Brudin,Green,Bemberg,Bandow. My side includes the last names of Kiel,Eriks,Boer,Hoeksema,Kuiper. I have information linking my side back to the Netherlands on all sides but I have no documentation on when everyone got here. I have copies of the SS Applications for those who are listed.
I am searching for new links that are at no or little cost to search. I have been able to meet through email, 2 distant cousins on the Kiel/Boer side. They have been able to send me photos that I have never seen before. To see my Grandmother when she was in her 20's was a real suprise! She had dark hair then, I only knew her with white hair. It's suprising to see how many of my cousins today look so much like our ancestors!
