I have been doing genealogy for about the last five years or more. My ggrandfather came from Stokes County N. C. to Madison Co., Alabama. He died in March of 1896 in Alabama. My Grand father, Davis Moore Radford, Somehow ended up in Falls Co., Texas where he died in 1949. My dad was born in Rosebud, Falls Co., Texas. He was married once before to lela Perkins and I have a half brother, Amril Paul Radford, whom I have never met. I think He worked for the telephone co. around the Tucson, Az. area.
In 1931 he married Flossie Jewel Tannehill of Ocie Mo. She had a daughter, Floetta born 1930. My name is David M. Radford. We stayed in the Ozark Co., area of Mo. until some time in 1937 at which time we headed west. I Think we spent a little time in Az. then went on to Calif. My mom and dad both died in San Bernardino, Ca.
I lived in So. Cal until 1970 at which time my wife and family transfered (with the Post office) to Ashland, Or., where my wife and one of our sons still Live.
I have been able to follow my mother's side of the family pretty easily., but I haven't gotten past my ggrandfather on my dad's side of the family.
