I initially started my research on a trip to Selkirk Manitoba where many of the Prudens lived in the early years. St Clements Churchyard is where many of our descendants are buried along with St John's Cathedral in Winnipeg where John Peter Pruden is buried. John Peter Pruden married a cree Indian named Nancy in 1803. My reserach indicate they had nine children. Caroline, Cornelius, James, John, William, Charlotte, Peter, Arthur and Maria.

As these people have had children the web of family members is very large. At this time I have followed.

I have copies of land scrip from the Hudson Bay Archives and treaty pay list for some of the desendents. My search continues as a part of rebuilding a forgotten past.
