Being raised by foster parents in Bellevue, MI and having two daughters, two grandaughters and five grandsons of my own, I am striving to preserve genealogy information I have at this point in my life. As a matter of record, my name should legally be Marion Leroy McMichael. My biological father, Kenneth assumed his foster parents family name. My mother Hilda Hatmaker also assumed her mother's husbands (Albert Hatmaker) name (who told me himself when she was 38). Her biological father is not known. My only living older materal relative to my knowledge is Mary Ann Hatmaker Maystead of Battle Creek, MI. I have gained my genealogy information by computer search and my aunt's/her daughter's help. My two daughter's Ronda Elaine Rainsberger (Betty Higgenbotham)Lash-Johnsen rejoined me in my life as an adult, after 34 years of being absent . She and Jodi Lynn Rainsberger (Wanettah Clark)Brewer have the affections of my heart, mother's to my seven grandchildren. My mother although married several times had no children live to adulthood, except my two oldest brothers and myself. My dad fathered two more daughters and three sons from his second marriage. I am still in the process of finding the graves for my paternal grandparents. I still seek my materal great-grandfolksgraves in MN. I have traced genealogy and documentation to my descendents to the extent possible today (2001). I estimate living relatives--cousins, second cousins, etc to be in the MI and MN areas to be in the hundreds. I plan to verify, and document as much as found available to this time. My brother Roger Rainsberger had one son out of wedlock in Jackson, MI that There has been no response to date.
