We are Rainsford's from the Limerick/Tipperary border. My father is John Francis Rainsford born in Doon Limerick in 1933.He emigrated to America via Australia and New Zealand in the late 50's. My grandfather is Nicholas Rainsford married to Margaret D'arcy (Rainsford). They lived and worked in Murroe and Doon.
We have done some research but we do'nt have a full accounting of our family tree. I have heard several tales but none have ever been confirmed. I belive we do have an original copy of the Rainsford coat of arms which is in my parents possession.
