I am searching my family tree for the first time. If anybody has any info., I would be greatly appreciated. My father was John Ward Ralston of Illinois. I think he was from Fayette county. However, I am not totally certain. He met my mother Jacqueline Mae Wilson and they were married in 1960. They had two children - Julie Ann Ralston and myself. My father passed away when I was 7, so I did not get to really know much about his ancestry. My mother still resides in the south bay area of California. My father's parents names are Earl Guy Ralston of St. Elmo Illinois - Fayette County, and Mary Ellen Turrentine born in Kentucky - raised in Windsor Illinois - Shelby or Coles County. My grandfather passed away a few years ago, however, my grandmother is in her 80's and living in Illinois. What prompted me to search my family tree was Old West History. Well, let me explain . . . I like to read about gunfighters and anything related to the Old West in general. I was reading about Jessie and Frank James when I stumbled across a possibilty. The possibility being: my ancestory might be linked to Frank James. Frank James married a women by the name of Annie Ralston out of Missouri. I know it is a long shot, however, you never know. If anybody has any info. at all please contact me at jeffreyguyaj13@aol.com.
