I became instrested in my family ancestors in 1973. Every time I visited our local library would stop in the genealogy deparment to look at files on my family name. I did not know how to do research then. I would write down names and dates I found and then just filed them at home. In 1976 I was given a blank form for my ancestors from the library. So I went home and started asking questions of my mother and father. From there I went bck to the library for more info. Once I really was bitten by the genealogy bug the info., I had gathered fell into place. My son Thomas had the first computer in the family and I bought the Family Tree Maker. After it was installed on his computer, I would spent every moment I had searching. Through the genealogy web sites and message boards gain lots of ancestor history. Not all is on-line. I did a lot of searching marriages, birth and deaths in the counties of Indiana and Louisville and Frankford, Kentucky. There have been ups and downs. Disagreements with some family members over who our first Ralston ancestor were. Once I found the correct info. as I belive it to be on the records I found want to put it out for all to see and freely use.
