My grandfather, John Henry Ravey, immigrated to the USA from Switzerland around 1860. He spent most of his American life in Texas and had two families: with his first wife Catherine he had four children; and with his second wife Anna Bollier he had five children. He died in 1896 in Arizona, while his wife Anna survived until 1928, living in Los Angeles.
