John Epting, Jr. was administrator of the estate of Catherine Epting (Newberry Will L-169). The children according to a later equity were: Eve, George A., Henry, Jacob, and Lewis Epting, who had died (Sandra Lee, Will Book, P.24). Married 1st 24 March 1826, Elizabeth Felker, Born 7 Jun 1807, Died 27 Feb 1859, daughter Peter Felker and Sarah Eaves.

Moved to Laurens County, later to Spartanburg, SC.
