My name is John Rea. I have been doing research on my REA family line for a little ver thirty-five years.
I am descended from Robert REA, born 1750, who married Phebe WAY. More specifically, I am descended from John Rea, his grandson who came to Ohio in 1820.
This Ohio branch of the family will hold in the fall of 2009 the 75th Annual Rea Reunion. As one way to help celebrate this event I hopefully will have completed aqnd published a book regarding the REA Family History and Genealogy. It will include lineages, stories, bios, and other interesting information.
At present, my research ha uncovered over four thousand descedants, with many still missing.
Hopefully, some of you may come forward with your own oral histories, bios, and other facts.
All I can promise you is publication in the book and the opportunity to purchase the said book at approximately production cost. The book will be produced in hard bound leather cover, on archive, acid-free, paper, with many pictures it is hoped.
