Johann Leonhardt Reber was a Reber that came from Germany to Pennyslvania. Here is his passport:
This the "passport" for Johannes Reber, who came from Langenselbold, Germany, to the U.S. in 1742.
I, Wolffgang Ernst, Count of i senburg and Budingen, make known herewith following the appearance of Johann Reber of Langenselbold and after he has humbly sought and requested that I might graciously remove the servitude by which he is bound to us and our House, and mercifully declare him free and allow him to go forth from here. That I, according to his humble request, do grant his desire and that we do make no further claims to the servitude of Johann Reber to our house and that we therefore set him free herefrom and allow him to depart with impunity to other parts. Expecting that in the future he should settle again in a place in our lands where servitude exists, whereby irrespective of this emancipation he would again be subject to the same condition of servitude as heretofore.
