My father Dominic S Lupacchino was born Oct 4,1932 and was a sibling to two other brothers Joseph Lupacchino and Frank Lupacchino.
My Grandparents are Gaetano Lupacchino born in Italy, May 15,1902 and Mary T Dellaripa born in 1912, in Hartford Connecticut.They were married on Sept 27,1928 in Hartford by Father Charles Carty. My grandmother passed away shortly after the birth of my father and my grandfather had no choice but to put his three sons into an orphanage because he couldn't afford to raise them. My Great grandfather (Mary Dellaripa's father) Dominick Delarippa and his wife Amelia Vignone were born in Italy and came to the US. Exactly when I haven't found out yet. My Aunt Fannie Gagnon(Lupacchino)is my fathers cousin. She married my Uncle Lee Gagnon also from CT. I remember as a child visiting them on holidays, and playing the piano with their daughter Kathy and their son John (Johnny). The one important thing I remember about them is that Kathy and John had Diabetes. Aunt Franny always had a gift for me and my sister and brother on Christmas.It was a very nice of them to give us gifts. They later became my brothers god parents.
My parents divorced when I was 7 and my mother remarried when I was 12. We moved to Delaware because that was where my step father worked. I am now 41, divorced with 2 children. Now I would like to find out if I have any living relatives on my fathers side of the family residing in Italy. I would like to talk with them and find out more about my grandparents and if there are any of their sisters or brothers that might be alive or their children-children.
