On 4 Aug. 1842 Elizabeth married Griffin Garris Saunders, a son of Griffin and Sara M. (Garris) Saunders. They first lived in a log cabin opposite "Reed Place," second in a home nearby, and third at the "Saunder's Place" near Doctor's Creek. Here Elizabeth died in 1886 and Griffin in 1894.
