I would like to learn more of my family history but I have little to start with. All I know is that my paternal grandmother, ELLEN MARY REDMOND emigrated to the UK from County Wexford - Ireland in around 1895- 1900. She had an illegitimate son (my father) by a young German, the son of the household in which she worked as a maid. This house was in Brighton - Sussex. The parents of the boy would not hear of marriage and sent their son back to Germany. My grandmother ELLEN MARy had a son (my father) and named him CECIL OTTO MUSKETT REDMOND, using her maiden name. She (my grandmother) subsequently married a man named HOPKINS and had three daughters by him, RENEE, RITA, and SHEILA. Sheila is the ony one still alive, married to a Dutchman for fifty years and living in Heerhugowaard - Holland. Not much really but I am certain that ELLEN MARY REDMOND would have had brothers and/or sisters who probably migrated from Wexford too.
