My family reasearch has led to 2 branches of our family re-uniting in new zealand and has been very rewarding.
My challange now is to trace our irish roots which is proving extremely difficult (any help or hints apriciated)
My reasearch lead me to an old military cemetary with old weathered and broken headstones and no plot records!
I was using infra red film to photograph a head stone which the writting was eligible, when a gentlemen approached me to ask what i was doing, to which i explained i had an ancestor buried here and was trying to locate his grave, he then asked me what name i was looking for, as he walked through the cemetary often to get to the river to go swimming, so i told him redmond to which he replied thats funny that's my name! and after quizzing him on his faimily discovered he was from the other line of our family i was looking for!!
Exciting and spooky stuff this geneology i tell ya!
