After many a year of searching, finally fruition via the internet!
It has been an amazing journey to find my roots. As an adoptee of wonderful parents who shared with me what little they knew of my biological family, I have been reunited with my siblings. This genealogy that so many take for granted has been the proverbial labor of love which I present to my brothers and sisters with gratitude for what you have shared with me.
May this little tree continue to grow.
My grandfather who set a sure foot on a ship to come to this country for all of its bounty and in order to sound more American, changed his name from REDA to REED. Most of the Reeds have stayed in New York state, naturally a few have moved away. There are some Redas who moved in the Baltimore MD direction who are direct relations to Frank Reda Reed.
The Weekley through out my search has vasilated on the extra "e" sometimes in the past it has been spelled Weekly. The family is large in VA and a small faction in PA and of course the Ohio group.
It would be so exciting to get the Reda family back across the pond. I hear that the hills are full of Reda's in Calibria southern Italy.
Please, at your earliest convenience feel free to email and share information about our families.
