Since my family is so diverse, we have decided to try and trace all our grandparents back. We are Fenn/Carr on my dad's side, Heasley/Walmsley on my moms. I have since married to a Reeds, and am searching for his "missing" grandfather.
My greatgrandfather Arthur Alexander Fenn, born in Ipswich, Suffolk, England, occupation, Photographer, went to Rhodesia where he married my greatgrandmother, Janetta de Kock.
They moved to Paarl and had my grandfather, Simon Thomas Fenn, born 03 November 1913.
My grandfather married Noreen Carr and had three children, my dad (Errol born 20.03.1946), and my twin aunts, Lynette and Jennifer.
My dad married my mom, Barbara Lynn Heasley, and they had 4 girls.
My mom has two brothers, Graham and Patrick. Their father is Lesley Graham Heasley dob 08, November 1913, and Lesleys father is from Belfast, Ireland.
Moms mother is Rhona Walmsley dob 20, June 1920, Transvaal. Confused? Me too. Which is why I want to get it all sorted. If you have ANY information on any of these links please let me know.
It is the search for Arthur's birth certificate that started this little obsession, and hopefully I can piece together the entire family over the next few years.
