My grgrandfather William I Clements came to Texas in 1894 settling in the Files Valley Community of Hill Co. My grandfather NB Clements was born in Arkansas in 1890. He was 4 yrs old when they came to Texas. I remember him telling me that they had three covered wagons that made the trip. My grandfather married my grandmother, Mandy Mae Roden, in Grandview, Tx. on Sept.17,1910. Then they moved to the Whitney area near what was called Bee Bluff and farmed the land that is now Lake Whitney. There were several homes on this land and several of William I Clements children lived on the land and helped farm. My Grgrandfather William I is buried in Auburn Cemetery near Grandview and my Grandfather & Grandmother are buried at Hillcrest Garden of Memories between Whitney & HIllsboro, Tx. These descendants are from William W. Clements born in Harden Co. Kentucky on Nov.2,1802 d1863 Bedford Co. Tn. and married Anner R. Thacker bNov13,1809 dJuly4,1882 in Carbon Hill Ala. His father was Mannen Clements and Margaret Clements.
