Seven years ago I decided to find out if there were any living Mageehons in the United States. All my life the only ones I knew of were my mom, my dad, and myself. I was afraid the family name would die out completely when I got married. I was also interested in knowing as much as I could about my ancestors. The only facts I had were that my dead grandfather's name was Arthur Mageehon, and that he had once owned land in Oklahoma before he had married my grandmother here in Missouri in the early 1900's. I now know that there are still a few of us left in the United States. I would still like to know about any of my relatives (one thing about having a rare name like Mageehon is that you know that if you find someone with the same name, chances are good that we are related) and communicate with anyone who comes from the Mageehon family tree and is interested in knowing more about our ancestors.
