I started researching my family background when I was in my early teens. Over the years as life got busier time for research got put aside for other things. I would always try and work on it at least a couple of times a year. Now that I have moved in to the 21st century with my first personal computer I am hoping that I can do more research in half the time. I am the youngest child of Donald Howard Reese and Clemma Kay Vorse both born in New Castle, In.(and so was I and all my siblings). In my early years we moved to LaCrosse, WI. where we grew up and still reside. I am doing research on my fathers side of the family. Over the years I have gother some information, which was difficult since my parents divorced and we were estranged from our father. I know that his father was William Thomas "Tom" Reese, b: 16 Aug. 1889 in Albany, Clinton, Ky. He was Married to Mary Melzina Gann, B: 15 May 1903 in Jefferson City, Tn. He worked at the Chrysler plant in Kokomo, IN. and was a member of the UAW. He died in Anderson, In. due to complications from a car accident. Tom's father was Joshua Perry Reese b: 04 Aug. 1845 in Jamestown, Ky. This is the member I am currently working on. He was married to Malisa Lewis b; Aug. 1865 possibly in Albany, Ky. Family history says Joshua's father was James H. Reese b: 1808, Ky., but I have not found any documentation for this. I am looking forward to the search and any one who would like to share information would be much appreciated.
