Obit of Annie Williams Camery:
After long weeks of pain, long weeks of battling between hope and fear, Mrs. C.P. Camery passed away Tuesday afternoon. Hers has been a case almost hopeless from the beginning of her last long illness, yet she revived often and it seemed as if hope and trust and prayer might triumph.
The deceased was born in Utica, N.Y., June 1, 1829. Her childhood was spent in Ohio. She was the only one of ten children born in America. March 24, 1854, she was married to C.P. Camery. The couple came to this community in an early day, twenty five years ago. Nine children were born to them. Eight are living and were present at the funeral. Mrs. Camery was a woman of strong christian character. She was one of the noble mothers who have done so much in their sphere toward the advancement of society, religion and brotherly love. From its founding, she has been a strong factor in the upbuilding of the M.E. church of Buckingham and Traer. She was a generous, unselfish, devoted wife and mother in whose soul the sunlight of happiness and hope was never dim. On Wednesday afternoon a large congregation of friends assembled at the church to pay a last tribute of love to her memory. Rev. Miller conducted the service. Burial was in Buckingham Cemetery.
