Ygnacio Montijo was born in Mexico in 1819. The son of a nobleman, which yet remains unnamed, Ygnacio's father came from Granada Spain.
Ygnacio was a man with light hair and blue eyes as was his son Amado, born in California in 1856.
Ygnacio married Francisca Fimbres in what seems to be Altar Sonora, migrated to San Bernardino Calif in 1845, one year after their nuptials.
Ygnacio has been found in the List of Bluebloods in the 1800's in san francisco in addition to the List of Foreign born voters of 1872.
I have not been able to locate death or burial place for either Ygnacio or Francisca.
His other children I will list at a later time. But he was the grandfather of my grandfathe, Efren Montijo , born in Vernon, California in 1894.
