  Thomas Duprie born 1831, son of Jean Baptiste and Agatha Witterick, died 1899, buried at Mt. Calvary Cemetary, DePere Wi.Union Soldier of the Civil War , enlisted two times, 14 th infantry Co. F and 22nd Reg. volunteers,He married Mary Louisa Cummings at Fondulac before the war , family surname spelled different ways , many documents relating to this family is found at Univerity Wisconsin Green Bay,and at the Brown Co. library also in Green Bay, Wi.Thomas' mother was a saultuer Indian.

  Ed was son of Thomas Duprie, Youngest of seven children . Born 1890, was only ten years old when Thomas died, then his mother ,Mary L. Cummings died nov. 1900 .Edward older brother Frank then became his gaurdian,this also is mentioned on Civil War Pension Rolls for Thomas.
