I am looking for information on the Lewis family of NW Arkansas. My grandmother was Lumie Lewis of Washington County, AR. Her father was Gus David Lewis. I have a great picture of him. Her mother was Cassandra Foster. I have been trying to get information about a couple who may consist of her sister and his brother (A couple of brothers marrying a couple of sisters has happened more than once in my family.) Their names are Wilson Koehn Lewis and Sarah Lucinda Foster. Wilson's parents have the same names as Gus's (William Lewis/Jane Ball), I think.
My mother and aunt did research on her family, the Teagues of Texas, but not other branches. The Smiths have a family reunion in the northwest section of Arkansas every few years near Springdale.
Otherwise, the surnames I know about right now are the Clarks, Teagues, Lewis, McKenzie, Hash, Nolan, Drake, Smith, Erwin and Bullard. The Erwins were from Clay County, Illinois. Other states mentioned are Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and California.
