I have always wanted to find my mothers family for her because unfortunately she is the only survivor of her immediate family. I know that she has always felt somewhat alone. About a year ago I did some phone calling to the the county clerks offices in Colorado City, Coke County,Mitchell County & Presidio County all in the state of Texas. I also contacted the funeral home in Kiker County. I found out that my grandmothers name was Mariana Reyes Gonzales, her father was Jose Reyes, her mother Jesusita Rico(maiden name)Reyes. My grandmother was born(I believe) in Gomez Palacio,Mexico(date unknown) she died January 07,1927 @ the age of 27. She married my grandfather Manuel R.Gonzales, who was born in Marfa, Texas(I believe thats where they married). My mother was the second(live birth) of three children that lived. Her brothers name was Manuel Gonzales and her sisters name was Sara Gonzales. My mother was born in Bronte, Texas. My grandfather, Manuel R.Gonzales was born in Marfa,Texas(date unknown). He died about 1960 when he was approx.65 yrs. old. His biological fathers last name(we believe) was Lampert. He was given his mothers maiden name because apparently his father left when he was told of the birth. His mother married and her name changed to Guevara, my grandfather has a half brother living in Texas. His name is Eusebio Guevara. My grandfather(Manuel Gonzales) mothers name was Amada Gonzales Guevara. That is all the information I have at this time. I'm trying to find out if we have any living relatives along with completing a family tree.
