I am just STARTING and don't have a lot of information yet... I'm looking for facts about my great-grandfather, James Solomon Reynolds of Carterville, Missouri, and his wife Lula Pearl Hayes or Lula Pearl Hays. "Pearl" is the daughter of a Jack Hayes (or Hays) and Mary, who died when she was 25 years old (when Lula was 7 or 8). Jack re-married to his late brother's wife, Alice Hayes. I do not know anything PRIOR to Lula's birth -- who Jack's parents were, what Mary's maiden name was, etc. I am curious about this family's CHEROKEE INDIAN heritage, mostly. I am also very interested in the REYNOLDS family, and do not know my much about my great-great grandparents: "Jake" Reynolds was a Mormon preacher (from Kentucky, I think), and his wife was Elizabeth (maiden name unknown). I would like more information about those people, and am currently searching.
I am the daughter (one in a set of twins) of David Earl Reynolds, born May 5, 1954, and Lucille Irene Buck, born December 11, 1954. These are my biological parents. I am the adopted daughter of Lois Jean Reynolds, born August 29, 1936, and the late Gerald Royce Sisk, born November 8, 1931. I plan to research my adoptive family when I have finished with my biological family.
