About Our Family Research

I have been working on the Richard Scott/Sarah Macauley family since the late 1980's. My grandmother was Hazel Scott Disch and little was known about her when she died in 1983. I was amazed to find that Richard and Sarah came from Ohio in the late 1840's and were original settlers in Adams Town, Green Co., WI.They are buried in the old Argyle Cemetery in Argyle, WI. From the Argyle/ Adams Town area the family spread all across the United States, many of them served in the Armed Forces from the Civil War through Vietnam.

Of my direct ancestors, I have separte information on Franklin Scott/Mary Dufford and his son Charles J Scott, my great-grandfather.

I have used local sources as much as possible and have an extensive collection of obituaries, cemetery searches and land records.
