About Our Family Research

Researching surnames Barber, Dollins, Finnegan, Pardew, Rhodes, Seaton, Slattery and many others.

Current research centered on:

1. Julia Finnegan (b. 1847 in Ireland, d. 1907 in VT) immigrated to US as a young girl. Had sisters Kate and Margaret.

2. David Rhodes (b. c. 1816 in TN, d. 1870-1880 in Scott County, MO) seeking info on birthplace and parents. Had a wife Elizabeth and children including Jane, Ellen, William Henry Harrison, Morgan, Charlotte, Marion, and Lucy. Marion, his family, and his widowed mother, may have migrated to TX and then OK after 1880.

I am especially interested in making contact with other researchers who may have knowledge of the Irish immigrant miners and their families who worked in the copper mines in Orange County, Vermont in the 1850-1880 time frame.

Family tree posted on this site is direct line ancestors/descendents and siblings only. I have considerable more information on these people and others in side branches. Contact me for further info.

I would greatly appreciate hearing from anyone with an interest in or knowledge of any of these people.
