Notes for Wilhelm (William) Hoyer: William Hoyer had 2 brothers and possibly one sister. His brothers names are Albert and Frank and a sister named Louisa. From a letter from Will Meyer dated March 16,1947 from Salina,Kansas he states the following. He is writing this letter to my grandmother Zella Rae Lillie.
The Hoyer family as far as I know was as follows: My mother's name Louisa, your father, William,brothers Albert and Frank Hoyer. { Louisa married a man named Meyer, unknown first name}. Your father's father Wilhelm Frederick Hoyer died in the Civil War in battle. and his wife married again to a man with a German name. Possibly Altenburg.
Your family certainly you know so I will give in rotation the other families.
My family, Sophia, myself(Will ), Anna, Elizabeth, August, and Albert. { Meyer is last name} There were four children that died as babies and Anna died when about 30 years old. Frank Hoyer had a boy and a girl, but don't know his wife's maiden name. I only knew her as Aunt Kate,certainly now she is a widow. Albert Hoyer married Emily Wentzel, they have , Louis, Edna, Carl and the forth child is a girl but I can't think of her name. Albert is dead that is Uncle Albert. Louis and Carl are both married and the youngest girl may be, but Edna is single and I suppose will remain so. I would advise you to write my sister Sophia in Philadelphia she is fou yours older and as she is now in the East, she can give you some information. I know that Louis Hoyer has a boy and a girl, perhaps more, but Sophia can give you more information. My family and offsprings are as follows: William Meyer, Ada P. her maiden name was Fielding, our son Stanley Clinton, married Pat Kettle. They have an adopted daughter. Ruth P. married Robert C. Bailey and their children are Craig William, Bruce Nelson, and Clinton Reed Bailey. My brother August Meyer, married a girl from London, Canada and they have two boys. John and Ernie, both single. My brother Albert married Irene Meyer, she didn't need to change her name. They have a boy and a girl. the boy is Glen married and he had a baby. The girl is Doris, she is single. My sister Elizabeth married Herman W. Wentzel they have one daughter Edith. Herman died about 7 years ago.
