Rolfe Carol Hoyer was a Forest Ranger in Arizona. He gave his live fighting a forest fire in May 20,1967.
Services were held Thursday at St Barnabas Episcopal Church for Rolfe C. Hoyer,35 of Springerville.Arizona. He died Saturday of injuries sustained when he was helping fight a fire in the Apache National Forest. Internment was in Climax, Mi. Prairie Home Cemetery.
His father lived at 139 Church St. Climax,Mi. a number of years ago.

A park, campground and Monument is dedicated to Rolfe C. Hoyer June 22,1968 in Apache National Forest near Springerville, Arizona.
This campground was known as the Greer Lakes Campgrounds in 1967.
