Life Long Resident Passes Away: Lydia E. Anderson, 83 a life long resident of this vicinity, passed away Thursday morning at Reed Nursing home in Kalamazoo,Mi. She was born in Leroy township July 9,1868, the daughter of John and Henrietta Rolfe Sherman. She was a charter member of the Climax Woman's Study Club and Club Mother, a member of the Royal Neighbors of Battle Creek and the Climax Methodist Church. She is survived by 2 sons, Sherman of Kalamazoo and Cloyse of Climax, and one daughter Mrs. Jesse McReaken of Climax, six grandchildren, tow brothers, Norris Sherman of Alpena, Mi. and Walter Ray Sherman of Portland, Oregon. Her husband passed away in 1949. Services will be held Saturday at 2pm. at the Burk-Hoag Funeral Home in Climax with the Rev. Charles Fry officiating. Burial in Prairie Home Cemetery, Climax, Mi.
