ROBERT WAS A CAPTAIN OF THE MILITIA UNDER COLONEL CROW IN FRENCH AND INDIAN WAR. HE CAME TO AMERICA WITH THREE BROTHERS: JOHN, DAVID AND JAMES. HE WAS KILLED IN THE AMBUSH AT FORT DUQUESNE "BRADDOCKS DEFEAT" WHILE SERVING GEORGE WASHINGTON. HIS WIFE, MARTHA REMARRIED WILLIAM STINSON OF SCOTLAND AND HAD A DAUGHTER, NANCY WHO MARRIED WILLLIAM LOCKLIN OF IRELAND. THE SON OF ROBERT,, JOHN ,LATER SERVED ON GEORGE WASHINGTONS PRESIDENTIAL HONOR GUARD
