i was born 19 august 1959,in the german hospital,dalston,london,e8.my parents:frances mary evelyn ridgley nee,gunning.b23 may 1925.and edward henry ridgley.b3 july 1920.d 21 april 1999.
at the moment i am tracing my fathers line and have managed to have gone back to 1868 with the marriage of orlando henry ridgley to mary ann bedford on 4 august 1868.samuel rigley is recorded as the father and sophia ridgley as a witness.i don't know what relation she was to orlando henry.
i am having difficulty going back further,as nothing much is on record before this date.
all my desendents seem to be from the hoxton or islington area of north london.
