I was born in Morgantown, WV in 1942. My father Charles Keller Ridings was born in Morgantown in 1916 to Granville Ridings and Bessie Keller Ridings who had moved to Morgantown from Middletown, VA sometime between 1905 and 1907. My mother Glady Katherine Cook Ridngs was born in Osage, WV in 1918 to Ross Cook and Katie Adams Cook. Katie died a few weeks later in the swine flew epedemic and my mother was raised by her fathers parents George R Cook and _______ Murphy Cook.

The Ridings geneolgy has been well documented by others however much work needs to be done to work my other family geneolgy back to when they came to America which is my opbective in my retirement years. There is a Ridings family reunion/lunch after church the first Sunday in October at Ridings Chapel Methodist Church outside Stephens City each year.

My wife Ruth Elizabeth Davis Ridings and I have two sons, Christopher and Scott that I hope will add on to this in later years.
