Philip's marriage record in Ionia, Mi lists Mill Point as his residence. Mill Point is located in Ottawa Co, Mich and is now known as Spring Lake. The area was known as Mill Point for only about 20 years and the name was changed to Spring Lake in 1968. This information can be found in the Spring Lake Centenial book. Muskegon County Library does have a copy of this. I was able to make this connection as I grew up in Spring Lake and lived there during the bicentenial. Philip apparently lived in Mill Point ( Spring Lake), working as a farmer and married Louisa in Ionia Co. Their son Dennis was born in Spring Lake on July 4, 1968 at which time they moved to Manistee Co., Mich.
Interesting note on Dennis's birth record- see notes on Dennis Crowley

ather 's obit shows Philip's name as Philander and shows him living in Manistee Co. Philip immigrated in 1848 from Queenstown, Ireland.
