PROVINCIAL COURT PROCEEDINGS, August 3, 1667, pg 253 This day before mee Joseph Riggs who by the Oathes of Edward Polter and Thomas Langley appears to be Kinsman unto Francis Riggs late of Calvert County deceased thereby Claiming (as heire to the said Francis ) all lands within this province which the said Francis died posset of and whereas noe person of nearer Kin to the deceased doth make Claime to any of the Estate of the said Francis: Full power is hereby given the said Joseph Riggs to Enjoy and recieve the profits of the said lands as were the proper Estate of said Francis Riggs at the time of his decease dated att Matta-penny the day and yeare aboue written Charles Calvert.
