The Waite family name is supposedly tied to English Royalty and the Isle of Wight

son Plympton Buck Van Pelt (1868-1957) of Toledo Ohio
wife Gertrude Adelia Hillman (1875-1952) of Bay City Michigan.

Plympton is my GreatGrandfather

Was told that one of the four Van Pelt brothers (Hollanders), whom all had bounties placed on them, single handedly captured one of the Queens' naval vessels for the Colonies during the Revolutionary War.

Parents of Mary A. Howell are:
John Howell (circa 1840) of England and a Civil War veteran (7th Michigan Cavalry)
wife Priscilla Parcher (circa 1840)

This is but a beginning. Any assistance in gathering up the many loose ends, filling in the blanks and verifying the stories will be greatly appreciated.
