COURTNEY FAMILY AUSTRALIA
I live in Townsville and my sisters Deb and Jan and brother Doug and myself Elizabeth (Betty)know we have relatives in Victoria our parents died some time ago and we have been trying to find cousins of our generation.We know out uncle the late BRIAN COURTNEY was a race horse trainer in Victoria son TERRY took over when he died.There was also a BARRY COURTNEY who was JIM COURTNEYS brother he passed away in 2001 from Cancer JIM COURTNEY had sons.His brother PAT has a son BRIAN a jockey in Port Macquarie area. There was also a Jimmy Johnson who was a jockey. Our dad was FRANCIS (FRANK) COURTNEY and his mum and dad were MATTHEW DAVID COURTNEY (his mother MARY RYAN) & MARGARET JOHNSON (her mother MARGARET YOUNG). Mum was RETA GLADYS COX. Dad had two sisters and one brother. MERLE DOWNIE, JOHN COURTNEY, and VON BENNETT MARRIED TO STAN they lived in the TORONTO NSW area. They Had four Children ANNE, GAIL PETER & STEVEN. One of the girls may have married someone by name of Christian
