A special thanks goes out to Forrest T. Riley, because without his hard work and dedication, many of us would not know as much about our family history as we do. I only received a copy of what Forrest had done about 4 years ago. Since then, I have made several contacts from various Riley's throughout the United States. Our line of Riley's seem to be a hard bunch to track. A solid connection has been tied to John's parents, James Duncan and Mary "Polly" Nutt Riley. But, that is about as far as it goes (for a solid connection). I have his grandparents listed as John and Martha Ashley Riley Jr. and his great-grandparent as John Riley Sr. (the only Riley's in Wake County, NC at the time). Another special thanks goes out to Wanda Price and Ellie Handley. Keep up the work and maybe someday we will get across the big water back to Ireland. I have decided, since we have not been able to go back for a few years now, it is time to go forward. A lot of my missing relatives are still living. Now is the time for us to complete those lines. Ten to twenty years from now the people that knows the most about our ancestors may not be with us anymore. Then instead of emailing them we are back to searching for records, that may or not be easily found. I just wish that I had been involved in this 25 years ago, but at least this way, our children and grandchildren may have an easier time at tracing their roots as we have. Thanks to all and keep up the good work. Michael A. Riley
