My Hennen Family from Missouri to Louisiana and Texas

Updated December 15, 2003

About Our Family Research

Not much is known about our Hennen Family and a trip years ago to Bertrand, Missouri did not yield many clues. What I do know is that William Hennen, Jr. was the father of Ruth Hennen, John Brown Hennen, George Washington Hennen and Harrison C. Hennen. I know that William and his wife died before 1850 leaving this four orphaned children.

Ruth Hennen born about 1839 married and remained in Bertrand, Missouri; John Brown Hennen born August, 1841 George Washington Hennen born June, 1842 and Harrison C. Hennen born April, 1843.

These three brothers joined the confederate army and following the war they met in Alabama where John Brown Hennen met and married Olphelia McGee in 1865.

John Brown Hennen settled in Jackson (now Lincoln)Parish, Louisiana.

George Washington Hennen settled in Denton County, Texas

Harrison C. Hennen settled in Texas.
