In May 1740,the Assembly gave power to Justices of Hanover..William Meriweather,John Henry,John Bickerton,and Francis Jerdone executor of estate of a William Johnson to bulid by subscription a bridge over the pamunkey river from a place called newcastle in Hanover to King William .
William Johnstone purchased a lot in Newcastle(i think i had already sent that??)Also a Richard Johnson bought a lot He was married to Sarah __?__ about 1720 in Hanover County, Virginia. Sarah waived her dower rights in some land that William sold in 1734.
