The Rios Family I am told are descendants from the Cherokee Indians. Some of the Rios relatives say my Grandfather on my dad's side changed his name from WhiteEagle to Rios. Why no one knows. I am the 4th or 5th person in the family that is continuing to pursue the tracing of the Rios Family history. This would be a treasure to leave my children when I die. I have used Ancestry, Rootsweb, USGEN, and Genealogy to help me in my search. I have also talked to some of my relatives for information. I have used the Social Security Death Master file to obtain copies of the original social security cards of some of my relatives. On my dad's birth certificate it states that his parents were from Mexico. My search will continue no matter where we came from. Family history is very exciting, rewarding and a treasure for me.
