Welcome to my webpage. I've been researching my family's history since February of 2001. I began with my husband's family - Risinger, Rissinger, Reissinger, Schwartz, Swartz, Black, Quattelbaum, Gunter, Roland (to name a few) from the Leesville and Red Bank areas of Lexington County, South Carolina. Then I got started on my Dad's side (my adopted father) which are the Helton and Burnette families of Suches and Gainesville, Georgia. Mama's (my adopted mother) family were the Tankersley, Land, Latham families living in and near Gainesville, Georgia. My birth mother's surnames are McCombs, Buchanan and Johnson. My birth father's surnames are Masters, Coker, O'Shields and Cison from Pickens County, SC and Transylvania County, NC. This site is dedicated to the Masters family.
The attached tree is everything that I have found on the Ancestors and Descendants of William M. Masters and Temperence Cassell from Table Rock, Pickens County, SC. I have been told by cousins of my birth father that his grandfather, Abraham Lincoln Masters, was a descendant of William M. Masters. BUT - no one can tell me where he fits in. Therefore, please view the tree of William M.
