I'm working on a direct-line ancestary chart for my three grown children. Obviously it's easy to become distracted. The four family names they have descended from are Ritterskamp, McCain, Davis and Frink.
Four Ritterskamp brothers came from Germany/Prussia in the mid 1800's to Vincennes, IN. I married into this family.
The McCain's I know of were in Crawfordsville IN and surrounding counties. I know least about this branch of the family.
The Davis's came from southern IN, Gibson Co. We've begun an annual family reunion (four years) to honor Audie Benton Jarvis Selph Davis, mother of my mother-in-law, who grew up in Florida and moved with her second husband (Isaac Newton Davis) to Francisco IN.
The Frink family history I have goes back the farthest of any branches (researched by others, not me). John and Mary Frink came to America from England on the "Lion" in 1631 and settles in Massachusetts.
Although I've been "collecting" information for many years, I'm making this "priority" project to get organized and put my old research in order and set some goals for my new research.
