My Great,great, grandfather, Peter Rittenhouse, was born in PA in the 1793. He married Margaret Young of Virginia about 1809. They apparently moved to Ohio by 1810, had at least 10 children there (maybe 13) but, by 1837 were living in Jefferson Township, IN. My Great grandfather, James B. Rittenhouse was born in Ohio on 10/29/1818. He married Mary D. Fox of Indiana.
He and Mary lived in Indania from at least 1845 until approximately 1858, then moved to Wisconsin. While in Indiana they had at least 3 and maybe 4 children, Margaret, in 1845, George M. in 1850, Elam H. in 1853, and perhaps Mariette, in 1855. In 1859 their 5th child, Charles P. was born in Wisconsin. By 1862 they had moved to Michigan where a 6th child, Andrew L. was born. They also had a daughter Ida, while in Michigan and a son who died on 8/26/1865 in infancy.
My Grandfather was George M. who married Louisa Eastman on 9/16/1883 in Bangor, MI. They had 8 children, David M., my father, born on 9/5/1894, Ora, Jessie, L.J., Angeline, Verna, Clarissa, and Unknown.
My father, David M. married my mother, Edna Cole (nee Reed) in 1939 in Flint, MI.
